Day 26

Arrgh! This is so frustrating. Imagine the hard work in order to get a good, trustworthy team together, raise enough money, go out after lots and lots of permits, hiring the necessary equipment and taking time out of our regular jobs in the field and kissing the family goodbye. All of this is in NO comparisson to what we are facing now!
First of all, there is no way we can simply 'walk away' with everything we discover. It was already hard enough to convince the governments involved that this expedition was absolutely worth it, but now they want to see what we dove up... Oh, what to do. We are not sure yet ourselves, there is still a lot to explore, artifacts need to be labeled first and some translations still need to be made. Above all, we do not know yet how to bring this story out into the world. How will everybody respond? Just imagine the line of journalistic fire we will face, trying to explain what we have found. We are not established explorers and have to build up a name in order to keep doing what we are doing. It would be devastating to see all our hard work shot to pieces, ending up in a cellar of a museum. What we know so far is crucual for mankind, this story needs to be told!!!!!!

Day 34

D&#n sharks!!!! I was so affraid this would happen. We are surrounded by people who want a piece of the action. Be prepared you all, we are not going to give up that easy. It is OUR hard work, our time, our dedication and we will not let someone else take the credits. It is the disovery of the century as far as I can tell and eventhough we are not ‘known’ investigators that does not mean that we won’t do a good job. This is the best team I have ever worked with and I will fight for our good name.
